A few simple rituals to make the most of your Amate candle.
A little trim, every time.
Before each burn, trim the wick to ¼ inch (6 mm) to help prevent smoking, soot, and large flames.
Give it time to glow.
Allow the melt pool to reach the edge of the container, especially during the first burn, to help prevent tunneling. Do not exceed the recommended burn time to achieve this.
Make it a moment.
Limit each burn to 3–4 hours to prevent excessive heat buildup. Let the candle cool completely before moving or relighting it.
A safe place for a soft glow.
Always use a flat, heat-resistant surface, away from drafts and anything flammable. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
